2021 Season 3 registration

Changes to the remainder of Season 2 have been published on Ultimate Central.

Season 3 dates have been confirmed, and registration will also be opening shortly for all teams.

At the start of the year, Ultimate Victoria mapped out the dates for all APL seasons for 2021, with a number of “buffer” weeks kept open in case of the need to reschedule games. Unfortunately the latest lockdown ate up the last of those weeks for the entire year. Therefore Ultimate Victoria has made the decision to shorten both Season 2 and Season 3 by one week each to “buy back” some extra buffer weeks later in the year.

The Season 2 schedule has been now been updated on Ultimate Central to reflect this change.

Monday August 2nd, 9th and 16th – round robin games for all divisions

Monday August 23rd – round robin for Division 1, semi finals for Divisions 2 and 3

Monday August 30th – final playoffs for all divisions


Promotion and relegation from Season 2 will be determined by the number of total teams entering Season 3, and playoff placements from Season 2.

New teams entering APL will be automatically placed in Division 3. Teams new to ultimate can opt-in to a free demo game on Monday August 30th with support from coaches.


Season 3 will commence on Monday September 6th, and is scheduled to finish on Monday December 13th, for 14 weeks of games.

No games are currently scheduled Monday November 1st and Monday December 20th, however this may change if COVID-19 restrictions cause delays to the season. The team registration fee for the season is $1,540 per team (inc GST, equating to $110 per week)

Friday July 30th: Season 3 team registration opens. Click here to register.

Thursday August 26th: Team registration closes. All teams must have a minimum of 5 men and 5 women registered to be accepted for Season 3, however UV recommends at least 7 of each gender to account for week-to-week absences and unavailability throughout the season.

Wednesday September 1st: Division allocations released, and Ultimate Central registration unlocked to accept additional roster additions and team payments.

Thursday September 2nd: Round 1 fixture released.

Monday September 6th: Season 3 commences, and deadline for team payments

Wednesday September 8th: Remaining Season 3 fixtures released.


  • All players will be required to check in upon arrival for games using the Services Vic app. QR codes will be available to scan on the scoreboards at each field.
  • No players are to play in multiple timeslots on a single night. There are no exceptions to this rule. If a player is found to be playing in a second game, the game will be immediately halted, the offending player’s entire team asked to leave the fields, and a win by forfeit awarded to the opposition. The offending player will also be referred to the APLC or UV board for possible disciplinary action.
  • The area between Fields 1 and 2, and between Fields 3 and 4, are off limits. Spectators and players not on the field must remain off the synthetic turf at all times. Anyone repeatedly violating this rule may be asked to leave the fields.
